SharePointDevWiki: SharePoint 2010 hub #SP2010
September 26, 2009
So I have finally had time to create a new Confluence Wiki Space for WSS 4.0 and SP2010. This wiki will grow as more information about the platform becomes available and it will be a central hub for me whilst at SPC09 to log all the information I find.
I want to try and make this a collective site to map all the information on WSS 4.0 and SP2010 from around the web in blogs, forum, twitter and web sites around the Internet. This should allow people to start here and either take a shallow dip into the information or deep dive into certain features and find the external resources of relevance.
All the information on this wiki is publically available and none of this information is NDA information!
I have set the site out into various sections to make it easier to navigate and answer those common questions I seem to hear:
- Getting Started with WSS 4.0 and SP2010
- What’s changed from MOSS 2007 to SP2010?
- What’s changed from WSS 3.0 to WSS 4.0?
- What’s new from MOSS 2007 to SP2010?
- What’s new from WSS 3.0 to WSS 4.0?
- What’s new in the SharePoint API?
- What’s changed in the toolsets?
- Have they improved…?
- What issues may arise?
- External Resources

Trusted Editors
I encourage others to contact me if they also wish to contribute before the public unveiling. I have enabled comments for logged in users to allow discussions around functionality to start.
If you are interested in contributing after the public unveiling, also fee free to contact me as I’d like to get an idea of interest. I can see this being a great method of logging information as it is announced at SPC09 and beyond!

Hi Jeremy,
Love the dev wiki idea - loved it before, and I'm sure this one will be great. new and Improved, blah, blah, blah.
Two topics jumped out at me as missing from your list. For your consideration...
1. What's changed in the Enterprise CAL from MOSS 2007 to SP2010?, and
2. What's new in the Enterprise CAL from MOSS 2007 to SP2010?
I think these should be made clear to developers, and should play a larger role in planning discussions around SharePoint.
Another area, that might be less of an automatic choice for you, depending on the direction you want to take things, could be a list of feature areas that could be improved/augmented/built upon (i.e. by partners).
See you in Las Vegas!
