Well, I'm getting there with the new web site.

I've written the whole thing from scratch in Microsoft C# ASP.NET utilising a Microsoft SQL Server 2000 database layered with stored procedures, views and tables.

The whole thing has taken a while to proceed, mainly due to me getting motivated in phases! So don't give up faith...the best is still yet to come...which is the interface design. The news, events, forums, links are all up and admin consoles are present for publishing, updating, reporting [banning] individual items. Each of these items is tracked for changes by users (be they logged in or by IP address - so no more smart guys as I will be having a black list of idiots who waste my time with rediculous posts).

The interface has taken some time to come together and I treated myself to a WACOM Intuos 3 A5 tablet at the weekend which has helped with airbrushing the artwork and tracing it from original shots in the first place.

I am then going to approach the associations to encourage them to contribute since the new admin console is catered for people who are not IT saavy.

Anyway, I think I'll have it up within the next fortnight. So keep looking back at this blog for new entries!
